Tungston carbide tipped, heavy duty tile nippers, used for cutting a lot of different types of hard materials.

These are suitable for stone tesserae up to 6mm / 7mm thick. Thicker than this I recommend you use a hammer & hardie.

Also good as an alternative to the mini nippers if you are cutting a lot of the unglazed ceramic tiles (Archaeological series).
